Andrew H. Beal works as a playwright, sculpture, printmaker and production manager in Philadelphia. He is production manager at Plays & Players and a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His plays have been produced in Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Massachusetts and, of course, Yellow Springs, OH with his proudest work: YSI: Yellow Springs Investigators. He has worked with the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, the National Theater Institute, the University of the Arts and the Philadelphia Dramatists Center. He was formerly the Artistic Director of the Cardboard Box Collaborative, a small professional theater company that presented new and emerging writers through commissioned works in Philadelphia, presenting over 10 world premiers in four years.
