Jacobee Buchanan

Jacobee Buchanan began dancing at age nine at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios in Dayton, OH. In addition to studying ballet, modern and jazz, she also performed and competed with the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance for five years. She has taken summer intensives with the Virginia School of the Arts, Point Park College, Jeraldyne’s School of the Dance, and Ballet Hispanico. In 2005, she received a B.S. and the Margaret Paulding Award in Dance from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she danced in all Winter and Spring faculty concerts, as well as several student-run groups and productions. While at Skidmore she also performed in the musicals Chicago (Chorus) and Once on This Island (choreographer.) She has just finished a production of Miss Saigon at La Comedia Dinner Theatre and is happy to be performing again with SMAG. She is grateful for her past and looks forward to what the future holds.
