2013 Audition Workshop for Summer Theatre Immersion

Summer Theatre Immersion June 8 – July 22. Fee: $150 (includes t-shirt and dvd)

The YSKP is dedicated to a non-traditional, fun audition process. Our auditions take place as a group workshop and include a warm-up, singing, movement and readings from the script. You will also be given a chance to sing a song and tell a story.

Please prepare a short song of any genre and a one minute story having to do with water, famous floods or storms.

All interested youth must attend the Audition Workshop.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule at The Playhouse

June 8 -  FULL CAST reading of the script, Noon – 3,

June 10 – Daily rehearsals begin, Monday through Saturdays, Noon – 5

July 8 – 10, FULL CAST, 6 – 10pm, Antioch Amphitheater

Performance Dates:

July 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21 FULL CAST, 6 – 10pm, Antioch Amphitheater

Our Rehearsal Process
It’s a big commitment! Rehearsals take place Monday through Friday. However, there are some occasions when a Saturday rehearsal is scheduled. We organize the schedule so that you will not be called for every rehearsal. For instance, Saturday’s rehearsal is usually devoted to musical numbers and only specific cast members are called – depending on the scheduled for that day.

We strive to schedule well in advance – but making a show is an organic process and subject to unforeseen circumstances.

We will also help you to organize transportation  needs.

To facilitate a smooth rehearsal process, it is imperative that individual schedule conflicts are listed at the audition.
