Little Boy – the Peace Play
A sci-fi ode to peace and the joys of being human. Little Boy is an original theater/dance work commemorating the 60th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. It was premiered in collaboration with the Dayton International peace Museum, the Yellow Springs Dharma Center, and the Shirley-Jones Gallery of Yellow Springs.
These young performers were amazing. They staged in shadow puppet style the horrific bombing of Hiroshima. They were white winged angels, banished from heaven for fighting. They were lively noisy children caught up in the playground rituals of violence. They were silent ghostly figures ritually mourning war’s tragic deaths. And they were children newly discovering the power of peace...a masterpiece of of theater and dance and visual arts. – Yellow Springs News
